I’m on a mission to create healthier lifestyles by promoting my platform: A Perfect Fit. After becoming a personal trainer in the summer of 2013, it became increasingly evident to me how many women (and men if they’re honest with themselves) have issues with loving their bodies. I believe we can fix this problem through education about health and wellness. Providing individuals with the knowledge to make better decisions about their lifestyle will ultimately lead to a healthier and happier nation.
Note that my belief is not one of strict calorie counting and severe workout schedules. I believe in a healthy lifestyle, which means finding the balance. I advocate for taking a day off from the gym to be with friends and eating chicken wings just because. There is so much more to happiness than the physical health of our bodies. I never want to be limited by my “healthy” lifestyle and feel excluded when my friends are eating Mexican. I want to find a way to feel well but still embrace life. Life is all about choices, and I choose to live a lifestyle that makes me happy and keeps me healthy – they are not mutually exclusive categories.
For the most part, I grew up in south Georgia, but when it came time for college, I chose to return to family roots in South Carolina. I graduated from Clemson University in December 2016 with a B.S. in Psychology and minor in Communications and am currently an MBA candidate, also at Clemson University. I’m an avid cat lover, spray tan enthusiast, and a book nerd. Thanks for taking time out of your day to read some of the simple truths of living well!
